Alum Juggling Football and The Virus

COVID-19 has changed life on the road in ways Bill Bonnell, '83 could never have imagined. Bonnell is the Coordinating Producer for Saturday night Prime Time Football on the ESPN family of networks and the College Football Playoffs. His season started Labor Day weekend in Annapolis, Maryland and he's traveled to a different college football outpost each week ever since. "It's really strange not having anyone in the stadium but it's great to be back doing football."

Student Spotlight: Eleanor Petrucco

Eleanor Petrucco started taking classes on the OCC campus in the fall of 2018 while she was in her senior year of home schooling. Over the course of the academic year she took a semesters worth of classes. "These credits helped me finish high school and get a jump start on college. I decided to keep coming to OCC because I loved the faculty."

Faculty Profile: Brian Kling, '15

Professor Brian Kling knows what it's like to be a non-traditional student, balancing life and college challenges while trying to better himself in OCC's Nursing program. He was in that position just a few years ago. "I was just talking with one of my students who was very much in my situation. She went to Business school, decided that wasn't for her, and now she's in the Nursing program. I told her my trajectory, how I moved along the path, and how she could get a master's degree."
