Residence Hall Directors Create Fun Fundraiser

Onondaga Community College's Residence Hall Directors solved a problem by making themselves the target of a fundraiser.

The residence hall directors, or RHDs as they are commonly referred to, wanted to acquire a set of pots and pans for each residence hall which students could sign out. To raise the money, the RHDs created the "Splashing for a Cause" fundraiser. Students could pay $1 for the privilege of throwing a cup of water on their RHD, or $3 for dousing them with a bucket.

Connecting Students With Careers

Students enrolled in academic programs in Onondaga Community College's School of Arts, Communications, Business & Entrepreneurship had the opportunity to speak with potential employers during a Career Showcase. The event was held March 26 in the Gordon Student Center. It featured employers from 18 companies who offered valuable career advice and discussed a range of job and internship opportunities. The networking event provided students with a unique opportunity to gain insights into their chosen fields and build connections for future career success.
