To be an eligible candidate, you must:
- Complete the Health Compliance Packet

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet immunization and health compliance requirements
- Maintain medical insurance while enrolled
- Be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language
- Possess mental and emotional stability to develop appropriate relationships with patients, families, and members of the health care team.
- Access to a computer with internet
Notes
- This class uses a digital textbook and the college’s learning management system (D2L Brightspace). Participants in the program must have reliable access to a computer or laptop to complete coursework and assignments outside the classroom
- Students will need to submit a complete and compliant health packet, information will be shared once the class starts.
- Some clinical sites require a NYS background check.
- This course is in a Hybrid format: online lecture with in-person lab and clinical.
- In person lab will be held at Liverpool campus - 8015 Oswego Road, Suite 5, Liverpool, NY 13090.
You'll be a vital member of a healthcare team and provide direct patient care. You’ll work under the supervision of licensed nurses and physicians in hospitals, nursing homes, and more. Assist patients with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and take vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report changes to nurses.
Perform your clinicals with our local partners and you'll be qualified to work at major health care facilities in the area. Background checks may be required by clinical sites and future employers.
