Nick Todisco was a beloved and demanding Art professor who was well-known throughout Central New York. He taught at Onondaga Community College for nearly 30 years. He also taught in the Westhill and LaFayette School Districts, along with his alma mater, Syracuse's Vocational High School.
Three years ago when alumnus Ryan Beckley '98 returned to Onondaga Community College as Chair of Automotive Technology, the program’s enrollment was, in car terms, a clunker. There were about a dozen students in the entire program, and by the end of the academic year only three would earn their associate degrees.
Chris Cedano Alcala is Student Government President at Onondaga Community College thanks in large part to a life changing stay in his parents home country. "I saw the different way people lived there and it really opened my eyes and my mind. I realized the resources and opportunities we had here I wasn't taking advantage of."

Five Onondaga Community College graduates will be recognized as distinguished Alumni Faces honorees for their professional achievements and contributions to the college and the community. Their accomplishments will be highlighted during an induction ceremony October 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Frederick Marvin and Ernst Schuh Recital Hall in the Academic II Building. Their likenesses and inspirational success stories will be added to the Alumni Faces display in the Academic II Building.

A global security and aerospace company is recognizing two outstanding Onondaga Community College students by awarding them scholarships worth up to $5,000 each. Lockheed Martin's Vocational Scholarship Program is honoring up to 150 students nationwide, and OCC's Jordan Black and Zoe White are among them.
