If you stroll into the Automotive Technology lab on the first floor of the Whitney Applied Technology Center, there's a pretty good chance you will find Patrick Emdee there tinkering with something. "I'm enjoying every minute of being here. I like working with my hands and thinking with my mind. I like trying to put my mind to my hands and vice versa. It's why I enjoy this career a lot."
Paramedic Student Grateful For New Scholarship
Jake Seager's destiny was always public service. "I grew up around it. My whole family was either in law enforcement or firefighting or volunteering. My grandfather was actually a volunteer with Manlius and was one of its first paramedics in the 1970s."

That's why she's working hard to succeed in Onondaga Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant degree program. "It's really demanding. You have to maintain a certain GPA. I'm studying all of the time. It's not a program you can cram. You have to take it in small increments."
