Student Right to Know

The intent of the Higher Education Opportunity Act - 2008 (HEOA) is to provide consumers (prospective students, current students, parents, etc.) with comparable information from all institutions of higher education.  HEOA's required disclosures are mandated to give consumers easy access to information that can be used in making sound decisions about their education.

Awareness of health, safety and security on the Onondaga Community College campus is important for all students.  The annual security report below provides crime statistics for our campus as well as other important safety information for students.

Student Body Diversity Fall 2016

As a part of the recently revised Higher Education Opportunity Act (2008), institutions must now provide information about the student body diversity, including the percentage of enrolled students in the following categories:

Retention Rates

As a part of the recently revised Higher Education Opportunity Act (2008) institutions must make available the retention rate of certificate - or degree-seeking, first-time undergraduate students as reported to IPEDS.

  • Fall 2015 First-time, Full-time, Degree Seeking Students = 2,031
  • Returned in Fall 2016 = 1,169
  • Retention Rate = 57.6%

Completion/Graduation/Transfer Rates

As a part of the recently revised Higher Education Opportunity Act (2008) institutions must now provide their completion and graduation rate information disaggregated by:
